Lecturer in 2017 Summer Sessions- Journalism- School of Journalism, UC Berkeley
The UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism invites applications for part-time, non-tenure track, lecturer positions to teach in our new Undergraduate Minor Program in Summer Sessions 2017.
The number of available positions will vary depending upon the needs of the School. Lecturer in Summer Sessions appointments will be made for two six-week terms from May 22, 2017 through June 30, 2017 or from July 3, 2017 through August 11, 2017.
Journalism courses in Summer Sessions 2017 will include: Principles of Reporting and Writing
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties will include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and maintaining a course website.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have either a Bachelor's, or equivalent degree, or ten years of professional journalistic experience at the time of application.
Additional Qualifications: Prior professional experience teaching or similar experience in providing and developing lesson plans or trainings
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience teaching journalism at the undergraduate level.
