VIDEO EDITOR, Office of Digital Learning (ODL), to engage in creative and technical video editing, output, file conversion, delivery, and archiving of video and multimedia projects in a variety of genres and formats to support online professional education courses and other projects developed by ODL's Digital Learning Solutions (DLS) group. Will work with the DLS team on the planning, preproduction, and production of these video projects; employ nonlinear editing systems to edit video programs containing video, audio, still images, and motion graphics; engage in capture of video, audio mixing, color correction, and output of digital video files; develop and create motion graphics and animation to support video and other educational materials; and prepare video and other multimedia content for delivery in a variety of files and formats.
REQUIRED: at least two years' experience creating educational, documentary, and promotional video programs; knowledge of nonlinear video editing and multimedia and design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, AfterEffects, Illustrator, Photoshop); strong creative vision and ability to make aesthetic and content judgments of video programs; knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems; strong understanding of video postproduction workflows; interest in video and IT support systems; familiarity with digital video formats and files; basic understanding of video production techniques, including camera, lighting, and audio recording; interest in new and rapidly changing video technologies and ability to stay informed of developments in this area; ability to handle complex and deadline-driven projects, manage time effectively, work independently, and handle detail-oriented tasks. Bachelor's degree and additional training/experience in video editing, video production, and multimedia preferred. Experience in educational content development and/or higher education desirable.
