Summary of Duties:
As part of the Center on Education & Training for Employment (CETE) Assessment Services Team in the College of Education and Human Ecology, coordinates activities and reports required for various projects with the project manager; performs copy editing and quality control processes; reads, evaluates, and edits items for tests and measurement instruments and recommends changes in content, style or organization, or publication; facilitates subject matter experts in item writing and review; education/content or occupational standards writing; explains what information means and how it can inform item inclusion and revision; assists in preparations for various meetings and workshops, including organizing materials and facilitating processes for interviews and meetings; gathers, analyzes, summarizes, synthesizes, and disseminates test items, standards and curriculum-related information in reports; writes articles for center publications and technical reports; evaluates needs, defines problems, develops online and/or face-to-face curriculum, and assists in implementation of procedures and studies in career-technical and adult basic education; maintains project records; and assists with grant proposal development and center- and team-related meetings and communication and marketing activities.
Bachelor’s degree in English, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years of experience performing in a professional editorial role; copy editing; professional writing; group facilitation; gathering, interpreting, synthesizing, and presenting information; technical documentation/report writing; project planning and management; exceptional organizational skills; considerable experience/skill using MS Office; demonstrated experience producing reports; experience using a web-based content management system such as WordPress or Drupal; ability to work with multiple stakeholders; demonstrated focus on quality and attention to detail; ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to communicate effectively with intern.
Interest in workforce development and technical education; experience working on contract and grant-funded projects; Qualtrics or other online survey software; experience producing marketing and promotional materials; knowledge of different marketing and social media mediums; experience scheduling and planning marketing/social media posts; project management certification; Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Target Salary: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 Annually
