Requisition Number: S_191162 Department: University Television-0912 Description of Work: Position is responsible for shooting single camera video productions, editing, and operating studio and remote television cameras. Position will perform simpler styles of single camera productions without direction and shoot more complex single camera productions with direct supervision until skill levels are sufficient to advance to position of videographer/editor. The videographer/editor will be tasked with working on larger budget programs and less direct supervision. Primary responsibilities are Broadcast based productions, but there may be an opportunity to work on 360 video productions. Minimum Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree in broadcasting or related field plus one (1) year experience in capturing video and audio in the field, and editing with non-linear computer software; equivalent education/experience. A working knowledge of a cross-section of production tools including television cameras, editing systems, lighting, audio equipment and graphics. Knowledge of multiple video formats and range of production techniques. Non-linear editing skills. Ability to determine necessary equipment for assigned project, pack and travel to the site, capture content as required by the Producer, strike, and return equipment to proper location. Ability to position a camera and compose and shoot technically and aesthetically pleasing pictures. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in broadcasting or related field plus three (3) years' experience in multi-camera studio, remote, and/or single camera efp shooting and Avid editing; for broadcast, web and 360 production; equivalent education/experience. Knowledge of Avid editing software. Ability to interact with clients, co-workers, and the public in a diplomatic, professional, and credible way. Proper usage of various lenses and filters. Familiar with accessories such as dollies, gimbals and sliders. Advanced lighting techniques. 360 capture and editing. Posted Salary: Negotiable Job Type: Full-Time
