The Publications team is a dynamic, high impact team that supports the Research and Development (R&D) mission of our organization. We are responsible for collaborating with internal staff to develop technical specifications and documentation that define the next generation of broadband and wireless services, as well as briefs and white papers that provide insight on the state of the industry. Success in this position requires teamwork, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to the fast pace of our R&D projects. The Senior Technical Editor is responsible for collaborating with our technical staff to produce technical specifications, test plans, technical briefs, white papers, and other documents that are shared globally with service providers and equipment manufacturers.

Duties and responsibilities

• Edit, publish, and maintain technical specifications, test plans, guidelines, and best practices
• Accurately process engineering changes and incorporate them into specifications and test plans
• Implement strict document management control via a customized software tracking system
• Use cloud-based HTML requirement software (JAMA) to create and edit requirements for active technical specifications and test cases and to create new requirements projects as needed
• Produce interoperability requirements checklists from requirements management software
• Edit and publish white papers and briefs
• Track data and generate reports on reader interaction for white papers and briefs
• Create/edit original 2D graphics, as needed
• Create/edit complex equations using an HMTL equation editor
• Other duties as assigned
