1. Manage production of the Bulletin series, from editorial review (including fact-checking and proofreading) to publication online and in print, all with nonnegotiable and often simultaneous deadlines. Work with deans, faculty, registrars, and other administrators in Yale College, the Graduate School, and the professional schools to ensure that all published information is up-to-date and accurate, and conforms with University policies and procedures. 2. Provide training in CourseLeaf to administrators whose Bulletins are managed in CourseLeaf and who are new to the system. 3. Oversee implementation of design changes and update and extend the Bulletin series' digital resources. 4. Manage the annual Bulletin series budget, including the cost of a freelance typesetter and annual billing of client schools to cover the cost of the series. Monitor changes in USPS periodicals requirements to ensure that necessary adjustments are made to meet mailing requirements. 5. Within the Office of the University Printer (and during the Bulletin off-season), copy edit and coordinate publication of highest-level University policy documents that address key internal and external audiences. Flexibly and collaboratively undertake other highly visible editorial and communications projects in a wide range of managerial and/or editorial roles. 6. Except as limited by Bulletin series responsibilities, copy edit and proofread the text component of all day-to-day work designed by the Office of the University Printer.
Preferred Education: Graduate degree and experience editing academic content. Experience working with CourseLeaf or a similar course management system.
