North Carolina Public Radio WUNC, the public radio station licensed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is hiring a temporary Podcast Producer.
The WUNC Podcast Producer is an essential member of the station’s growing Content Department, able to work in a variety of narrative and talk show formats producing on-demand content and collaborating across teams.
The producer conducts background research, books show appearances, does field reporting as needed, scripts episodes and provides technical assembly of audio files and light sound design for our podcasts.
They also have deep experience working with a diversity of hosts with a range of skill levels and will occasionally be asked to host, voice or narrate elements as well.
Experience with creating assets for multiplatform use like Audiograms, videos, and graphics, to accompany audio productions is preferred.
Consistent attention to news, newsmakers and issues affecting North Carolina and the South is key, as this role requires an enterprising mind to contribute to WUNC’s streams of coverage on digital platforms.

Minimum Educations and Experience: Associate’s degree in electronics and three years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media engineering environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
