The Location: Houston, TX, USA
The Team: The team is responsible for daily publication of Platts Coal Trader, an industry leading publication covering the US thermal coal market. The team writes daily news and analysis as well as conducts daily and weekly price assessments for US thermal coal, US thermal coal exports and petcoke. The US thermal coal team consists of two associate editors and one managing editor, but is part of a larger coal team with offices in London and Gurgaon, India.
The Impact: The role is critical to defending our brand, increasing our relevance in the market, showcasing Platts' subject matter expertise regarding coal and related commodities such as natural gas and renewable energy, while also ensuring our price assessments are accurate. Your job is to make sense of supply and demand and how it impacts pricing, while also considering the role coal plays in ever-changing domestic and international markets.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $46,200 to $95,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
