Arts and Science is seeking a talented Community Engagement Administrator to join the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. The Community Engagement Administrator will design and implement effective strategies to engage and support students of diverse and underrepresented backgrounds at the Journalism Institute. This includes fundraising strategies to attract students through proposal writing, advertising graduate student scholarships and fellowships, and overseeing a new mentoring program.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in higher education, marketing and communications, public policy, or related fields.
Required Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in student services, outreach, and/or fundraising. Experience working with and developing programs for underrepresented students.
Preferred Experience: Professional writing or journalism experience. Experience managing alumni engagement, scholarship, fellowship, and/or grant programs.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to promote journalism and engage prospective students, alumni and donors. Outstanding interpersonal and public speaking skills; strong analytical skills. Excellent writing and editing skills, with imagination and an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of best practices for DEI programming and alumni engagement. Grant writing and reporting skills. Results oriented.
