USC Athletics is looking to hire a Director/Creative Content and Team Reporter to join our staff and student community of 500+ individuals. Â This role is responsible for leading the strategy and development of fan-focused content, planning and producing content, promoting the brands and stories of student-athletes and athletics programs, providing coverage to various athletics teams, and supporting the efforts of the athletics department digital.
Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director/Chief Creative Officer the Director/Creative Content and Team Reporter will work in collaboration with the athletics digital team, sports brands and communications staff, football creative team, and individual teams, programs, and student-athletes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communications skills, a passion for storytelling and content producing, tremendous knowledge of trends in digital and creative content, and prior experience producing content and providing coverage to sports teams.Â Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

Roles and responsibilities to include:
Lead the strategy and development of creative fan-focused content for social media, website, print, in-venue, etc.
Produce digital and creative content (written stories, podcasts, feature videos, behind-the-scenes, etc.)
Collaborate with the football creative team to generate team content
Serve as a team reporter for football, menâs and womenâs basketball, and Olympic sport championships
Promote the brands and tell the stories of student-athletes and athletics programs
Host productions, conduct interviews, and provide coverage to athletics teams, coaches, and student-athletes
Promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold principles of the USC Code of Ethics.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelorâs degree, in communications, journalism, or a related field of study is preferred, and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the sports industry and/or sports media. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.

Experience with Microsoft Office and content management systems.
