We are seeking an experienced technical editor to perform reviews of internal audit-related policies, guidance, tools, and Web content and help coordinate the delivery of content via our online technical library. The technical editor will work closely with authors, copy editors, and desktop publishers to publish content that is clear, accurate, informative, and efficiently presented. An adaptable and motivated self-starter will thrive in this fast-paced, dynamic position.
Work you'll do:
As a member of the Audit & Assurance Services publishing team, you will work closely with our subject-matter teams and publishing analysts to deliver technical audit content and tools based on regulatory and professional standards. The technical editor will review content to ensure it is clear, consistent, and aligned with our editorial standards and voice. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, including working with stakeholders to establish deadlines, manage approvals, contribute to proposed communication, and assist on special projects as assigned. You will be expected to:
Review the work of others and contribute suggestions for improvement where needed.
Handle a high volume of work and tight deadlines with calm professionalism.
Analyze the structure of content, think critically, and understand content interdependencies within a large content collection.
Use your proficiency in grammar, style, and usage rules to ensure consistent editorial conventions are applied.
Use your outstanding organizational and communication skills on a daily basis to streamline reviews of content and keep projects moving.
Work closely with subject-matter teams and other editors on complex, multi-tiered projects.
Use templates and formatting styles to ensure consistency in content.
Review content on our preview site and work directly with publishing analysts to remediate errors and problems.
Develop concise communications to announce the availability of new and updated content.

+5 years of experience editing complex, technical material.
Bachelor's degree (minimum) in English, communications, or a related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and copy-editing skills;
Keen eye for detail.
A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and calm, good humor.
Ability to shift priorities, multitask, and work independently.
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook, and a good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration apps.
Experience working with content management systems and electronic workflows.
Familiarity with the accounting profession
Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
Experience with XML content
Previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, legal, or technical communications fields and/or editing financial or business content.
