The Editor/ Videographer works within Digital Media under the Marketing and Communications Department on a wide range of video projects. These include, but are not limited to, College marketing and promotional content, studio recordings, PowerPoint-driven academic content, academic course updating, remote online recordings using Zoom and/or Open Reel platforms as well as field production of interviews and visual coverage of on and off-campus College events. In addition, the Editor/ Videographer assists the Studio Director with audio setup and monitoring, file recording and storage, teleprompter prep, and use during recordings in the College’s three-camera production studio. Organizational focus using various production management platforms is essential for keeping large amounts of video content moving through the asset delivery system.
As a growing department, we’re looking for a team player ready to contribute and work with our senior editors and producers. This is an exciting position for someone who likes to participate in all stages of production and enjoys the creative challenge of doing something different every week or month. The Digital Media Department is the source for all video needs at The College, and this is a rare opportunity to be a part of a mission-focused learning institution dedicated to sharing practical financial knowledge to an ever-expanding community.
Project set up, log, edit prep, edit, audio mixing, and final delivery of video assets
Shoot various types of educational and promotional video content
Assist in studio production audio, recording, and teleprompter
Take still photographs of staff and campus events and manage still photo library
Help maintain and coordinate production and post-production calendar
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications and Digital Media staff with creative thinking on projects and ideas for process improvement
Collaborate with the graphic design team to develop creative treatments for content
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across projects that reflects positively on The College’s brand and strategic priorities
This position is currently remote but will eventually be based in our King of Prussia office under a hybrid model defined by your supervisor once the building reopens.
Bachelor’s degree in video/digital media production, marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
Minimum of three years of educational, corporate, advertising, broadcast, cable, and/or digital media video production experience required
Financial services experience preferred but not required
Video production samples of editing/shooting required
Skills and Knowledge Required
Ability to edit videos from project set up through master delivery. Final Cut Pro(X) is preferred, Adobe Creative Suite: AfterEffects, PhotoShop, and Premiere knowledge is a plus.
Clear competency in MS Office Suite, Mac OS, and Google Docs/Sheets
Competent, professional camera set up, lighting, audio, and shooting
Manage and maintain video field equipment
Strong writing and oral communication
Able safely to lift equipment for transportation and set up of up to 50lbs
