Job Summary:

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach Introductory News Writing, Introductory News Reporting, and other reporting courses as needed. Appointment begins August 15, 2022. The Department of Media, Journalism, and Film prepares students to live and work in a complex media environment, offering majors in Film Studies, Journalism, Media & Communication, and Strategic Communication. Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; master’s degree (or ABD) in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates who have professional experience working in a newsroom as well as experience teaching journalism and experience producing multimedia journalism.
