Position Summary
This is a temporary, six-month position for a full-time Video Editor and Media Assistant. This position will help Olinâ™s Center for Digital Education by editing videos and assisting with media development for Olinâ™s online programs.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Video Editing â“ Work with the CDE Media Team by editing videos for the online courses including, basic video and audio editing, audio mastering, color correction, etc.
- Production Assistant â“ Provide additional support on video shoots including running the teleprompter, serving as a grip, monitoring audio, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Proficient use of non-linear editing software.
- Knowledge and use of video compression software for distribution and media management over a network.
- Experience with professional audio equipment including microphones and digital interfaces.
- Knowledge in color grading, scopes and basic video post-production techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative team environment as a positive and engaged professional.
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects with staggered deadlines.
- An avid desire to continue learning and improving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Required Qualifications
This is an entry-level position, and no experience is required.
