Are you ready to help develop the next generation of sports multimedia journalists and media production leaders? WOUB Public Media, an experiential learning unit in the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University, is accepting applications for the unique position of Sports Editor & Studio Production Manager.
This position provides direct supervision to between 50 and 90 undergraduate students per semester developing, writing, producing, shooting, and editing original short form content and award-winning television studio sports series. It will oversee the distribution of video content online, social media and other local broadcast programs including student sports-talk radio programs. Guides studio production services leading students through the technical experiential process of studio operations and roles by providing production training sessions with studio cameras, prompter, technical directing and studio floor management. Assists with new student recruitment and maintaining networks for graduating student employment and internship opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Media Arts, or a related field.
Valid Driver's License required.
At least three (3) years of related work experience.
