WBUR is seeking a collaborative, experienced investigative reporter to join our award-winning investigative team as part of a partnership between WBUR and ProPublica. Our five-person investigative team is dedicated to holding the powerful to account with stories that resonate with our listeners and readers. The team works closely with the rest of the newsroom and with partners across the station to deepen the organization’s investigative journalism and broaden the impact of its work across local and national broadcasts, wbur.org, newsletters, our swanky community venue CitySpace, and wherever else we practice journalism. Qualifications include at least five years of investigative reporting and writing experience. Among your talents, you should be organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability to juggle medium and long-term stories. You must have experience pitching stories, following tips, developing sources, filing FOIA requests and analyzing public records. Audio experience is preferred but not required. Please include a cover letter that describes why you are the best candidate for this position and supply three stories that show your skills at digging and your finesse at writing.
