Job Summary: The Broadcast Producer/Editor is responsible for pre-production planning, video production, and post production editing for specialty video pieces to be utilized on a variety of platforms.
Additional Department Summary: The Broadcast Producer/Editor shoots and edits content for internal and external platforms. Develops and executes social media programs aligned with the Office of University Relations objectives. Creates embeddable web videos for UA’s homepage as well as other video platforms.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, or Graphic Design and some experience as an editor, producer or director in a broadcast or multimedia production environment; OR a Master's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, or Graphic Design.
Skills and Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of current video equipment and current video software recognized as industry standards including Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Soundtrack Pro, Motion. In-depth knowledge and understanding and working knowledge of social media platforms using video and how to effectively communicate using these platforms is needed. Knowledge of lighting positioning and techniques required.
