Job Description WBUR is looking for its next Deputy Managing Editor. In this role, you will assign, edit and supervise teams of reporters, and work closely with other newsroom managers to cover the essential news for Boston and Massachusetts. Areas of focus include politics, criminal justice and general assignment. Reporting to the Managing Editor, the position requires a seasoned editor, able to lift reporters' storycraft, on air and online, and sharpen and expand their reporting skills. The ideal candidate can oversee all aspects of production from assignment to publication on all platforms, someone just as comfortable writing a sharp headline as a compelling host intro. This person should be passionate about coaching reporters through story development and reporting, eager to innovate and committed to an inclusive workplace.
Required Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, with over eight years of related work experience.
