The College of Communication at DePaul University invites applicants for a part-time fellowship position in Latinx-focused journalism to begin on January 2, 2023. The fellow will advise our Spanish-language publications, La DePaulia and Pueblo, and teach one 2-credit course (90 minutes on Fridays) per quarter on bilingual news reporting. The fellow will work with our chapter of National Association of Hispanic Journalists, which was recently named National Student Chapter of the Year.
Required Qualifications: The candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English and have experience reporting and editing in Spanish. The candidate must have at least 5 years of professional reporting experience covering Latinx communities. This experience can be in print, online, broadcast and/or radio. Teaching experience is recommended, but not required. Applicants with demonstrated success in working with diverse student bodies are strongly encouraged to apply.
