Create, produce, write, and edit complex and in-depth multi-platform enterprise journalism for Nebraska Public Media News. Media content can include producing programs, segments, long and short form news stories for television, radio, and digital audiences. Strong writing and original storytelling skills and organizational skills are vital to this position. Is encouraged to propose, produce, write, and present regional and national programs and projects. Mentor reporters and student workers.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications, or related field plus five (5) years of news reporting experience as an enterprise or investigative journalist; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience in the production of news/public affairs programming. Experience originating, developing, writing, and producing in-depth and complex news content. Strong interpersonal, reporting and researching skills necessary. Familiarity with filing public records requests. Knowledge of news reporting, copywriting and editing, knowledge of current events, and demonstrated computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
On-air reporting experience, production experience and/or knowledge in news production preferred. Familiarity with public record databases. Experience writing for multiple platforms (print, broadcast, digital). Digital editing, on-air broadcast presentation skills, ability to conduct background and broadcast interviews, producing, research and investigative reporting skills. Familiarity with podcasting helpful.
