The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 104a: Political Packaging, [4 credits] course in Fall 2024. The class will meet in person on the Waltham campus on Mondays, from 2:30 - 5:20 p.m.
The course examines the history of political marketing, image making in presidential campaigns, the relationship between news and ads, and the growth of public-policy advertising by special-interest groups to influence legislation.Â
Candidates with at least a Bachelorâ™s degree; teaching experience on the university level; meaningful and innovative journalistic experience covering national political campaigns will be given preference.
