Job Description:
The Department of Journalism and Digital Media at Ashland University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in Journalism with a focus on converged and digital storytelling.
The Department seeks a candidate to teach multimedia reporting, basic and advanced journalism and writing courses, multimedia producing, media law and ethics, media management and other media courses. The successful candidate will serve as the faculty advisor for The Collegian digital and print newspaper. Applicants should demonstrate a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, university service, and innovative multimedia journalism techniques as well as a commitment to continued professional development.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Mass Communication or related-area with at least two (2) years of college-level teaching experience is required
Experience as a faculty advisor for a college/university newspaper is required
At least five (5) years of professional experience in journalism, digital media reporting and online storytelling is required
