Bard College's Globalization and International Affairs Program (BGIA) seeks a Resume and Cover Letter Editor. The position is contractual and part-time. It can be performed remotely. Preference will be given to candidates who are located in New York City

BGIA is a semester away program that provides a unique opportunity for college students from around the world to take advanced courses in international affairs while working in carefully selected internships based on individual interests – all while experiencing life in New York City.
Under the supervision of the BGIA Director, the BGIA Resume and Cover Letter Editor supports the Undergraduate Deputy Director. The position is responsible for working with incoming students on drafting and editing cover letters and resume writing.
The core of the role is providing resume and cover letter reviews and editing to incoming BGIA students for each of the three programs per year — Fall, Spring, Summer
The staff member will assist with in-depth resume edits to either create or update an existing resume or CV to fit the BGIA resume template and then create the strongest and most comprehensive representation of each students' skills and experience. This includes updating international resumes/CVs to meet US norms and standards for resumes
The staff member will also edit and proofread individual cover letters for application to internship opportunities
As schedules permit, this staff member may join informational sessions with the Undergraduate Deputy Director and admitted students to discuss the internship application process, discuss student goals, and plan internship application priorities
The staff member may also lead students through Practice Interview sessions in advance of the student's first actual interviews
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with diverse populations specific to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, ability and/or gender identity
Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills
Flexible and positive attitude
Adept problem solver
Experience with networking
Professional/graduate-level experience working in a collegiate environment
Experience studying or working abroad, or working with international education
Admissions, public relations, and/or recruitment experience

Compensation: $20/hr, non-exempt, part time
This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting.
