Position: Web Content Editor, PSS4 (Full-time, temporary)
Description:
Reporting to the AVP of Rowan Online, this position will provide support for the Academic Detailing Grant (ADG) website as well as any related applications, projects, and special initiatives. Some evening, weekend, and holiday work is to be expected. An option for a flexible work schedule allowing for some remote work may be available.
Essential Position Responsibilities/Functions:
Update, proofread, and maintain content on the ADG website as provided by stakeholders.
Create, collect, collate, and arrange (or otherwise design) content for the ADG website
Work with application developers to maintain and update website usability and operation.
Update HTML and CSS for website as needed.
Implement industry web standards and best practices throughout the ADG website, with particular awareness of accessibility and website optimization.
Work collaboratively on various projects with other designers, application developers, instructional designers, and external vendors/service providers.
Conduct quality assurance and browser testing of own work and/or the work of others.
Communicate and collaborate frequently with ADG website stakeholders to determine project requirements.
Create and maintain project documentation and training materials.
Manage several projects simultaneously.
Provide direct technical support as needed for ADG website users and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
1 (one) year of professional experience.
Experience using HTML and CSS.
Experience working in a content management system, such as Drupal, WordPress, or Cascade, to create and update website content.
General understanding of web standards, accessibility, optimization, and usability.
Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, testing, and deployment).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Be extremely customer-service oriented.
Be able to work independently to solve problems with minimal supervision.
Be able to work with both technical and non-technical staff.
