The Role: Associate Editor - IT Research
Grade 9
The Location: Charlottesville or Remote
The Team: We are editors who work on syndicated and custom reports and data products created by a worldwide team of technology industry experts. We work with colleagues on editorial, research and design teams to publish sector research.
The Impact: Our team provides workflow oversight and editorial decision-making. Do you love coordinating with writers, editors and designers? In this role, you will do just that: ensure coverage of our sectors is written and posted to our online platform in a timely fashion.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $46.2k to $95.9k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

Responsibilities: - Editing and proofreading technology research materials to ensure the content meets S&P quality and style standards
- Reviewing data products and reports to check for consistency, completeness and accuracy
- Juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Ensuring quality of deliverables across multiple formats including Word, PDF, PPT, Excel
- Interfacing with internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of products
- Working with graphic designers to help them select the most appropriate method of data visualization for each project
- Coaching analysts to improve their writing skills
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in an editorial setting
- Outstanding written and oral English-language skills
- Strong editorial skills, including an excellent command of English grammar, syntax, usage and punctuation
- Attention to detail and project-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with financial/business math concepts, data and charts
- Ability to multi-task while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of the high-tech and/or telecom industry is a plus
