| Job Description: The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach BDJ 364- Radio/Audio News Reporting on Mondays from 12:45-4:45 in the Fall 2021 semester (3 credits). BDJ 364 is the students' first class devoted to reporting and it uses audio as its principal technology. The class includes field experiences, and students produce a weekly radio newscast in our production laboratories. Additionally, class members write for two web products and use social media to report stories. Professors are also expected in this class to give substantive and timely feedback so that students can apply that in the next assignment/ production. BDJ 364 is taught in tandem with BDJ 311– Broadcast/ Digital News Writing. The professor hired for BDJ 364 will be required to coordinate his or her class lessons with the professor teaching BDJ 311.
